I’ll give you two right now: ulcerative colitis and kidney failure.
People with ulcerative colitis often have a lot of trouble ingesting fibers - you know, because their colons are RIDDLED WITH BLEEDING ULCERS. Fiber makes this worse, tofu isn’t helpful - only animal proteins are easily digested.
Also, conditions that require dialysis and result in kidney failure make it difficult for the body to digest vegetables, again because of fiber content. I once dated a guy who could eat very little except meat without getting horrifically sick.
So seriously, scummy vegan - do some fucking research before you open your mouth.

Mockingjay-pin poster (SIGNED BY JOSH HUTCHERSON) giveaway!
Okay so some of you may know that I had the extreme privilege of attending Josh’s Journey 2 premiere red carpet in Melbourne last week, and he very graciously signed some stuff for me, including this poster, which I have decided to give away! The poster is the on-fire Mockingjay pin, and Josh has signed it in the flames in the top right corner of the pin (he’s signed his name ‘Josh H’ and then written “Peeta” next to it which is just so goddamn adorable I can’t). The poster is the one from the recent edition of Empire magazine, so it’s on (the reasonably thin) magazine paper, and is approx. 40 x 55 cm (which, according to my converter, is about 16 x 22 inches). It also needs a small disclaimer: the poster isn’t brand new. I got it for Christmas and had it hanging on my wall for a couple of weeks, and then took it down for the premiere. It’s still in near-perfect condition, there’s just a small tear in the top right-hand corner from the blu-tac, and a small smudge on the bottom of Josh’s signature, but they’re both barely noticeable - hopefully that doesn’t make a difference, but I just thought I’d let you know anyway. So, here are the rules:
- You don’t have to be following me (although that would be nice!)

I do like the “Shit X Says to X” meme, but this one is very sad & dystopian. I don’t think it’s fair that it’s labeled as shit “everybody” says to rape victims. Only extremely ignorant & insensitive heartless jerks would dare say this type of bullshit.
Please don’t watch a video like this and assume that you should not report a rape just because it’s assumed that “everybody” says “Shit” like this to the victims. It’s not true. Pursue justice.

Was not expecting to see this, but I’m glad it exists. I really hope this meme sticks around for a while, so many perspectives are using it as a medium to explain their daily lived experiences.

I know it might be hard to accept, but it *isn’t* just insensitive and thoughtless people who say these things - all kinds of people say these things all the time. Family members and loved ones say these things to survivors all the time. We are all steeped in rape culture, and it affects even the most “sensitive” of us. As a survivor of assault myself, I’ve heard many of these from hardcore “progressives” who fight for the rights of everyone. Claiming that these things aren’t commonplace isn’t far from saying that “only psychopaths rape, not regular, sensitive people…” Both claims ignore the real experiences of victims.
And I should point out that I find it suspicious that you feel the need to make this argument about this particular video. ALL of the “shit x says to x” videos are clearly the same - not everyone says those things, but it’s a cultural norm so A WHOLE DAMN LOT OF PEOPLE SAY THOSE THINGS. Making the videos a commentary on dominant social dynamics. How is this rape video different? Claim it is is a little too close to rape apologism for my taste.

White iPhone 4s Giveaway!
Okay.. I know this sounds absolutely insane but when they were on sale for black friday my mom bought iPhones for my whole family (well my dad and herself and me and my grandma) but my grandma refuses to accept it! She’s very old-fashioned and she’s happy with her little flip phone from 2001 so we tried to sell it but no one is interested because it is out of the box and opened but it looks perfect! I don’t know why i’m trying to sell you on this.. haha anyways my parents agreed to let me give it away in the holiday spirit :)
